Ajekaru, Sep. 27: Ajekaru police arrested two individuals involved in the illegal transportation of cattle on the afternoon of September 27 at Kondalke on Kaduhole-Andaru Road.
The arrested individuals are Ranganath (32) from Ayanur Thamadihalli in Shivamogga district and Sundar (57) from Paddaimaru in Shirlalu village, according to police.
The operation was carried out based on information that the accused were transporting cattle from Andaru to Hebri in a pickup truck.
Police seized two cattle valued at Rs. 32,000 and a vehicle worth Rs. 5 lakh, which the accused had allegedly stolen from Andaru Garadi.
A case has been registered at Ajekaru police station in connection with this incident.
