Udupi: The post-mortem examination of AKMS bus owner and known rowdy-sheeter Saif, alias Saifuddin Athradi, who was murdered in Salmara near Kodavoor, Malpe, was conducted at the KMC Hospital morgue in Manipal on Saturday night. The body was subsequently handed over to his family.
On Sunday morning, a funeral procession took place from his residence in Manipal to the Athradi Mosque. The buses owned by Saif also joined the procession, which saw the participation of thousands of people.
A final darshan has been arranged for the public at the Athradi Mosque, after which the last rites will be performed in accordance with religious customs.
