Brahmavar, Sept. 26: An inhumane incident has occurred in Brahmavar where a woman was abandoned by her own son in an unfamiliar location.
Ramanath Shenoy, a school bus driver, noticed an elderly woman looking distressed and disoriented near the SMS English Medium School. He subsequently brought the matter to the attention of social worker Nityananda Olakadu.
Responding immediately, Nityananda Olakadu, with the assistance of the '112' emergency police helpline staff, admitted the elderly woman to the Ajjarkadu District Hospital.
During the admission process, the woman identified herself as Saraswathi (70) and stated that she was a resident of Tiruvallur, Tamil Nadu. She claimed that her son had brought her in a car, left her at the unfamiliar location, and departed.
Nityananda Olakadu has verbally informed the Women's Police Station and the Senior Citizens' Helpline about the incident.
