Udupi: The main hearing and examination of two more witnesses in the murder case involving a mother and three children in Nejaru are underway at the Udupi Second Additional District and Sessions Court.

The deceased Hasina's husband, Noor Muhammad, and his son, Asad—along with her brother, Ashraf from Nejar, and Ayub Hussain, who resides near the deceased's house—were among those summoned. However, only Noor Muhammad and Asad were examined in chief by Special Public Prosecutor Shivaprasad Alva on behalf of the government. Later, the accused's lawyer, Raju Poojary, cross-examined the two witnesses.

A total of four witnesses were summoned for questioning on this day. However, the prosecution dropped the remaining two witnesses due to their repetitive testimony. In this case, the accused was produced via video conference.

Sources said that the evidence of four people, including the deceased's family head Noor Muhammad and his son Asad, was considered during the hearing.
