An incident has been reported in Bajpe where a rowdy-sheeter, along with another person, threatened and attempted to extort money from a firecracker shop owner. A complaint has been registered at Bajpe police station in this regard.
The complaint has been filed against rowdy-sheeter Prashant alias Pacchu, an accused in the Fazil murder case, and his accomplice Ashvit. The victim is Damodar, who owns a firecracker shop in Bajpe.
According to reports, both accused visited Damodar's shop on October 22 and threatened his life while demanding money with the intent to extort.
Fearing the rowdy-sheeter's threats, Damodar initially hesitated to file a complaint. He gained courage and approached Bajpe police station on Thursday only after officers assured him of comprehensive protection.
Police Action: Based on Damodar’s complaint, Bajpe police have registered a case against both accused for attempted extortion and criminal intimidation. A special team has been formed to trace and arrest the suspects, who are currently absconding. Search operations have been intensified.
